Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli has today declared that she will help Telekom with 1m euros for extending the network to northern Kosovo municipalities.
She has stressed that such a thing is being planned for the coming weeks, while stressing that Telekom is on fire.
After visiting the company, Rizvanolli said that during the next year Vala will become Kosovo, not Monaco.
Tuesday afternoon, the economy minister has visited Telekom and has met with chief-in-chief Burbuke Hannah's task manager.
Rizvanolli said this company is in the process of replacing radical technology for mobile phones.
For the immediate period, we are looking at opportunities to help Telekom cope with capital investments for the extent of the network in northern Kosovo municipalities. At about 1m euros worth, this is something we will try to do within the next few weeks. As for next year, we are talking about a total of 13m euros, which will be used by Telekom, of course these must be combined officially and progressively, but the political will exists for Telekom to be supported by at least 13m euros for migration to Kosovo's telephone code by the Monaco code, as well as modernisation of the” network, Rizvanolli has declared.
She has said Telekom is on fire and services are now better.
“Telecomi is also being set on fire both as companies and as collective workers and as a customer service. Association management, each and every one's commitment to the top with a management that has emerged from Telekom's ranks, social dialogue within the company is bringing us good perspectives in this strategically important company for our country and with an important role in the security of the country. There has been no investment in technology in Telekom since 2015, we're talking about a technology, a sector where things change within the months at times”, she said.
At the media conference, it has added that during this year the Government of Kosovo has granted Kosovo Telecom sixm euros in loans.
“over the next year will begin implementing two key projects -- the first migration from Monaco's code to the code that the International Telekom Union has given to the Republic of Kosovo. Vala will become Kosovo's, not Monaco's, eventually and will also start modernising the network. Which means that citizens very soon since March of next year will begin to feel improvements in Telekom services, which is really a very important development for Telekom as a company and that shows a beautiful future for Telekom, something that has not been very certain in the years we have left behind, but is now beginning to become more reliable and more feasible”, she has declared.
Also, the economy minister has declared that Telekom has paid over 12m euros in taxes this year.
“Telekom was issued by the Economic Oda taxpayer of 2022. It has paid over 12.6m euros so far, including last year's 3m debts. The trend of the inflow has already stopped, but it has returned. Currently, in the first quarter and the first nine months of the year of Telekom's revenues have increased by 8 percent, while spending has dropped by about 9 percent. The company would be in profit before asset devaluation. For the first time since 2015, as if it were not the payment for the exit package of workers. I have been informed that 302 workers have received this exit package, and this has affected them, considering that there have been strict criteria for assessment. These exits have not negatively affected Telekom, but have only positively affected the company by saving 270 thousand euros on the monthly basis of”, she said.
