He said his country laments that S recognised an agreement, calling on the parties, particularly Kosovo, to accept EU High Representative Josep Borrell's proposal for compromises.
“Finance expresses regret over the lack of an agreement between Serbia and Kosovo after the November 21st meeting in Brussels, under the mediation of European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative Josep Borrell. It joins the European Union's calls to avoid any unilateral action that could fuel tensions. It urges both sides ʹ and, in particular, Kosovo to accept the compromise proposal formulated by the European Union”, it has written on Twitter.
He also said France fully supports EU mediation, but said it should enable progress towards a comprehensive and legally binding agreement between Serbia and Kosovo and to move towards a European perspective of both countries.
Also, the French ambassador said the formation of the Serb majority municipalities should be implemented.
It [France] urges the parties to continue discussions in the coming days in the spirit of compromise and to implement the already reached agreements, including provisions involving the Association/Unibility of Serb Majorities. ”
