Eurodeputs have also decided that EU funds for Serbia will be conditioned in the same way.
“The Eurodeputs require that democratic reforms and rule of law be at the head of the enlargement process, along with improved monitoring, reporting, assessments and conditioning. The recommendations for the new EU enlargement strategy, which has been adopted, require that financing from EU funds and their results be made evident by candidate countries”, the European Parliament says.
