EU processing group meets on Kosovo visa liberalisation

The visa liberalisation issue for Kosovo citizens took another surprise turn in October at this group's preliminary meeting after France's request, supported by several other states, to link the process to several other requirements.
France has demanded that liberalisation be conditioned with the operating of the system for security in Europe, E TIAS, this system for authorization and travel information, but the same one still hasn't worked.
Through this system, citizens of states for which visas are liberalised must register their data before travelling to the EU. Then they will receive electronic confirmation and this will be worth three years.
In addition, Kosovo has been urged to harmonise visa policy with that of the European Union, increase control of borders and continue the repatriation of those who must release EU territory.
However, the Kosovo government has called France's new conditioning unfair, saying our country has met all required requirements and cannot have any more.
