Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli had asked the Kosovo government and MPs to vote on the continuation of emergency power supplies for 30 days.
The extraordinary session took place for that decision.
Rizvanolli has said that compared to last year's “has reduced electricity consumption to 6%<18x1>, which he has stressed is a positive trend for overcoming the energy crisis, especially during the winter period.
It also cited government schemes for citizens' support in overcoming this crisis as calling for a citizen energy efficiency framework, which it has said would open the application again Wednesday as a result of technical procedures for which citizens have complained.
“In the function of citizens' support, the Government of Kosovo has made several decisions -- 6m euros for overcoming the energy crisis -- the call has been made public for the subsidisation of the citizens' energy efficiency, for which the application will be re-opened”, it has stated.
Otherwise, on Tuesday, November one, the Commission for Economics, Industry, Undertaking and Market has approved the continuation of emergency energy supplies for the next 30 days, due to the energy crisis that has engulfed the country.
Also in this 64-vote session, the draft law on the provisional measures of basic products in cases of market destabilisation has been voted.
