Dacic against Brussels meeting: I don't see why Vuciq has to go meet Kurt.

Dacic said he sees no reason for Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, to attend the meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

“Borelli said he will try to reach a compromise solution and everything spins around that date, November 21st. I think Borell's effort is justified, but I see no reason for Serbia's president to attend the meeting. Kurti calls for reasons and recognition of the law, because he is the main source of all instability and possible incidents”, Dacic said.

Dacic stressed that Serbia has testified many times that it is in favour of dialogue and continuing negotiations, and added that the Serbian people can no longer be allowed to be the victim of unilateral movements and, as he said, of some kind of fraud when it comes to the Brussels Agreement.

Daciq emphasises that Kosovo is behaving as if there is no Brussels Agreement and that the Association of Serb-run municipalities, of which he says, Kurti has spoken several times, cannot be formed.

The chief of Serbian diplomacy added that he hopes there will be no incidents, which, as he stressed, should assure the EU, along with the KFOR and EULEX mission, which are guarantor of the Brussels Agreement.

Dacic said the deadline for implementing the license decision is approaching, and according to him, there is still time to react.

It is necessary for someone to address the reason in order to prevent incidents and possible triggers that could ignite the entire region. That means it is necessary to postpone the decision on the license plates and then start a political dialogue. And mostly important of all is the formation of the Serb Communist Community”, the minister said.

He stressed that there is still hope that the decision to apply the signs will pass without incident if the international community takes it seriously and focuses attention and pressure on the real source of the problem, which he says is Kurti.
