Consumer prices rise, ASS says

Consumer product prices continue to rise. According to data from the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK), inflation in the month of October is higher by 12.7 per cent compared to the same period in the preceding year. The overall harmonised consumer price index is higher at an average of 12.7% in October 2022, compared to October 2021. This is largely explained with the rise of consumer prices in COICOP subgroups: solid fuels, firewood, diapers, etc. (56.6%); oils and food fats (42.7%); bread and cereal (29.5%); milk, cheese and eggs (27.1%); meat (22.9%); sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and candy (21.5%); fuel and lubricants for personal transport equipment (20.8%); various sausage food products, salt, food for children and so forth. (17.1%); goods and housing maintenance services (.4%); gas (16.1%); coffee, tea and kakao (15.1%); maintenance and housing regulation (14.9%); hotel service (13.9%); household and garden tools (11.0%); personal care (9.8%); fish (9.6%); vegetables (.6%); transport service (7.7%); household equipment (7.7%); alcoholic beverages (7.4%); and other housing and garden equipment (11.2%); spare parts and additional equipment for personal transportation.
