US Congressman Ritchie Torres, visit to Kosovo

The president of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has announced this through an announcement on the social Facebook network.

The LDK head, who is standing on an official visit to the United States, met Torresı on Thursday, who is also co-chairman of the Group for Albanians at the American Congress.

“Congressmen Torres will be visiting Kosovo this week. Besides finding a beautiful place with full history, I will also find a people grateful for the role of the United States in Kosovo”, Obadiah wrote.

He has thanked him for his contribution and commitment to Congress, in particular for the dawning of the fate of the missing and the need for bringing justice from the last war in Kosovo.

“We talked about and about the aspirations of the people of Kosovo on the Euro-Atlantic journey, as well as the necessity of US involvement on this road”, he added.

Meanwhile, the US Congressman has repeatedly demanded that Kosovo join NATO and the European Union.

He had even personally written to the president of the United States, Joe Biden, where he had asked them to address the matter urgently.

As leaders of the free world, the United States must support their allies. We have no greater allies in Southeast Europe than Kosovo and I worry that without NATO membership, Kosovo may be open to the attacks of Serbia and Russia”.

Also, Torres has appealed dozens of times to the European five European for recognition of Kosovo's independence.
