According to Syla, this decision is wrong for the reason that lowering salaries will negatively affect the effective work of the judiciary and prosecutor.
This will certainly have consequences for the justice system as a whole. I say so about the fact that even in these conditions that judges and prosecutors have so far worked on, there have been criticisms and rumours that these salaries supposedly deserve, which I consider to have been a wrong attitude and that it is true that most judges and prosecutors are professional. I'm not saying that maybe a small number of them deserve, but the salary especially affects their efficiency and performance”, has been expressed in “Info Magazine” in Klan Kosova.
Furthermore, he said the Judiciary and Prosecutorial Council are mandated to protect workers and, according to Silas, on legal grounds they can do much.
“I consider that they should head to the Constitutional Court to annul this decision by the government for the fact that judges and prosecutors are a specific constitutional category and they should continue with the salaries they have so far had”, Syla has indicated.
We remember that at the meeting held earlier, The KDR has come up with some decisions that, among other things, say, the work of courts will be reduced and done exclusively for essential services.
In addition, the ruling says that the Council and courts will suspend any co-operation and participation of organised activities, or where government representatives are present.
