After abandoning Kosovo institutions, the official position of the Serbian List so far is that this subject will not participate in these elections. Likewise, skeptics have expressed other political subjects from the Serb community.
However, according to the Central Election Commission, on the basis of laws in force, even the issue of the number of candidates certified for voter turnout is not limited.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has told Kosovo priss that the Law for General Elections and the Law for Local Elections does not limit how much voter turnout should be in a municipality so that the outcome can be certified by the CEC.

Following the resignations of four leaders from the ranks of the Serb community in the four northern municipalities, Kosovo's president has announced extraordinary elections on December 18th for northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zvecan.
