Bulgaria urges Bulgarian community to be represented in Kosovo, Osman promises implementation of demand

In his address, President Radev, after expressing satisfaction for meeting with the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, said Bulgaria continues to support Kosovo since its declaration of independence in 2008.
We have discussed the European perspective for Kosovo. We welcome the Kosovo leadership's commitment to integration and continuation of state reforms”, the Bulgarian president said.
He said that fighting crime and corruption are key points for Kosovo for EU membership.
President Radev said he welcomes Kosovo's solidisation, and orientation towards the EU.
“we welcome all of Kosovo's commitments for the dialogue process and we hope there will be a quick end to”, he said, adding that “Bulgaria supported Kosovo for membership in European structures”.
The head of the Bulgarian state stated that other issues, such as the war in Ukraine, have been discussed at the meeting and its impact on the Western Balkan region.
Speaking of Bulgaria's contribution to the region, President Radev said that this state, due to its influence, has been managed last month to make decisions in the EU, as far as security is concerned in the Western Balkans and in reducing economic crises.

According to the Bulgarian president, in all other regional initiatives outside the EU, Bulgaria has contributed to achieving goals based on the principle of good neighbourlyity.
“Want to invite Kosovo leadership into the dialogue process and congratulate on the agreement reached on November 23rd, on the calming tensions in the country's north and on the application of measures to minimise” tensions, he said.
Radev said that an important part of discussions with President Osmani-Sadriu was the Bulgarian community in the Republic of Kosovo as well.
We welcome the commitment of building multiethnic society and helping communities not majority, to have mechanisms and representation in the area of policy and economy, to increase their cultural presence and education”, he said.
The Bulgarian president argued that the key point in conversation with counterpart Osmani-Sadriou was implementation of the recommendation that the Bulgarian community have equal rights in representation at the Kosovo legislative level.
For her part, President Vjosa Osmani- Sadriu said Kosovo considers Bulgaria a strong partner and ally and thanks him for the support given, among other things, under KFOR.
There are numerous challenges and we thank Bulgaria for the alliance and friendship”, Osmani-Sadriu said, adding that Kosovo is willing to deepen this co-operation.
Explaining that the country is going through deep economic reforms even in covering state-level respect, the greater human rights, the president recalled that there are currently more than 100 Bulgarian investors in Kosovo.
