Today at the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council, European Union for Foreign Policy High Representative Josep Borell will report to leaders of European diplomacy at an informal meeting for talks he had with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurtin and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic at meetings conducted under the Paris Forum.
The purpose of meetings in Paris, as Borell stated in advance after the “meetings was to respond to critical challenges” in relations between Belgrade and Pristina and talks, and as he said, we focused on helping the parties find the necessary solutions urgently for the current crisis and preserving peace and stability on the ground”.
At Borell's meetings with Kurti and Vuciq, as usual, was also EU special representative Miroslav Lajcak.
Today's debate will focus mainly on relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
The fact that it will be informal means that the outcome of the discussion will not be published, but is expected to convey the essence of these talks at a news conference.
Other problems of countries in the region will also be discussed at the ministerial meeting, as a senior European official has announced, will be discussed for “serious constitutional problems in Montenegro”, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and how the country can progress on the European path, especially after the European Commission's recommendation that Sarajevo be granted candidate status.
The official believes the situation in the Balkans is not “light” and that it is “the challenge” and that the EU is “dedicated to the Western Balkans as never before”.
Tomorrow's ministerial meeting is also preparation for the EU-Western Balkans summit, scheduled for 6 December in Tirana.
In the meantime, in the campaign for the French-German proposal, Albanian Post, has exclusively published the nine-ton draft, which shows in detail what document was presented to Vucic's Kurti.
As understood by the release of the AP, if Kosovo and Serbia sign the agreement based on this proposal, then Serbia will agree to respect Kosovo's existence and treat it as a separate judicial reality, while Kosovo must accept that it will implement all preliminary agreements, including the Association of Communities with Serbian Majority.
The proposal ) has the appointment agreement “The Base Agreement on the status of reports”, has a total of nine articles, and the main ones are based on the United Nations Organisation card, which regulates interstate reports. In this writing, Albanian Post refers to one of the first working drafts
