This will be another great help to Ukrainians, as Russian forces are undergoing losses on battlefields in the war they eat in the ninth month.
The funds were officially requested by the administration on November 15th.
Middle December is the date when the American Congress shared the budget for the following year, and if the request for assistance is approved, it will be part of the Ukrainian Government's support package by September 2023.
In early November, the United States said it would send new military aid worth $400 million to Ukraine.
Almost double that amount, $725 million, was the aid that Ukraine received from the United States in early October.
This same month, NATO announced it will send new air defence systems and other military assistance to Ukraine so Kiev can be protected from Russian air strikes that are hitting the entire country.
Russia has launched a new wave of air strikes, hitting several Ukrainian regions, bombing cities, including Kiev. / REL
