For criminal justice, the index notes that the main stumbling blocks are corruption and policy influence, Euronews writes. al
In the corruption criterion, the country ranks 107th in a global ranking at a global decline compared to last year.
The indicator if government and justice officials use office and power for personal gain is lower, with Albania ranked 126th out of 140 countries.
Low rankings also include the indicator of whether MPs use the public post for private gain, ranking 108th.
The most positive order Albania has on the criterion of implementing fundamental human rights and order and security.
