Abbott has said the current situation poses a threat to security in Kosovo.
It is disappointing that no agreement has been reached today. The current situation poses a danger to the security and livelihood of ordinary people in Kosovo and turns attention away from the government's mission to improve their lives. All sides should avoid actions that could lead to an escalation of tensions or cause security threats. The urgent need is to make progress in a normalisation agreement that would make disputes on issues such as license plates” unnecessary, Abbott stressed.
Otherwise, European top diplomat Joseph Borrell said they have offered a proposal today, but, according to him, was rejected by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
