Periscop has contacted European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy spokesman Peter Stano to comment on Kurti's decision.

Stano for Periscope has also talked about yesterday's Kurti-Vucciq meeting in Brussels, until he said the EU has submitted two balanced compromise proposals that would have escalated the current situation, for which there was no reconciliation.

“Borell and Lajcak welcomed Prime Minister Kurti and President Vucic on November 21st for an emergency meeting to ease the imminent escalation in northern Kosovo for a dispute over the plates. During the meeting, the EU facilitator presented two balanced compromise proposals that would have de-progressed the current situation. Unfortunately, no agreement has yet been reached due to disputes between the parties. Borrell called on the parties to refrain from any move that could escalate the situation on the ground, and recalled that he expected the parties to engage constructively to reach a” agreement, Peter Stano has declared.

He further added that the EU would use this period to continue talks with both sides with the aim of finding a solution.

Kosovo has agreed to postpone setting fines for 48 hours. We will use this period to continue talks with both sides with the aim of finding a solution. If EU membership is the ultimate goal of Kosovo and Serbia, which both have pledged, we expect them to act in line with the” circumstances, Stano has said.

We remember that yesterday in Brussels, at the Kurti-Borell-Wuciq meeting there was no agreement on the plates, but today Kurti said he didn't speak to Borrell but added that the US is in touch with Brussels. /Periscope.
