At least 75 missiles have been launched during the attacks, Ukraine's military leader has said, while reports that at least eight civilians have been killed and 24 others have been injured following the surprise missile attacks in the capital, Kiev, according to a spokesman from the Interior Ministry. The mayor said “critical infrastructure” was also attacked.
Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky also underlined the attacks on Dnipro and the bombings in Zaporisiza, saying Russia is “trying to wipe us out of the face of the ground”.
Kharkivi's chairman said the missiles have hit an energy infrastructure centre, causing power and water cuts.
The rockets also hit the Ternopil and Lviv regions in the West, officials from those regions said. The mayor of the western city, which so far was not the target of Russian violent attacks, said some parts of the city have remained without electricity.
Blasts were also reported in the Sumy, Zytomyr, Kmilnytsky and Kirovohrad regions.
Russia has not yet commented on these attacks. /Periskyopi/
