US warns Serbia of “Under Russia”

The United States of America adds pressure on Serbia to impose sanctions on Russia. Washington's ambassador to Belgrade, Christofer Hill, said he understands the position of this state, but advised it to look to the West for national interests.

“I am warning Serbs that this is not their “Russia”, but we are dealing with a completely different Russia”, the US diplomat told Serbian Radio Television.

Hill urged Belgrade to make a statement and hold a side, as this Russia is brutally attacking its neighbours. If you look at Europe, very few countries, it seems that only Belarus and Serbia have not imposed sanctions against Russia, the question is whether Serbia wants to remain in that society”, the American ambassador said, adding that the time has come for Belgrade to choose between good and evil.

Hill underlined, among other things, that what is happening between Russia and Ukraine has no similarities with the Kosovo and Serbia case, while advising the parties to find a solution. /A2news/
