Von der Leeyen today visits Kosovo

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen, will arrive in Kosovo this morning, from northern Macedonia where she was staying yesterday, under a tour of visits to the Western Balkans. It becomes known that President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti will be expected in Pristina.
The reason, according to the official announcement, is Russia and its influence in the Balkans, directly in terms of energy and market manipulation. The EC chief reportedly will express EU support for Western Balkan partners in fighting high energy prices and improving the long-term security of Western Balkan countries in terms of energy.
After Kosovo, the EC chief will travel to Albania, where she will have meetings with state leaders there. While then it will travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, as well as Montenegro.
