Over 3.3 million voters were eligible to vote in this year's elections, which had to elect 518 officials at different levels of government -- out of them three members of the BiH Presidency, 42 deputies in the BiH Parliamentary House of Representatives, 98 deputies in the Federation of BiH House of Representatives, 83 deputies in the Republika Srpska Parliament, MPs in the ten districts in the Federation of BiH, as well as the chairman of two Republika Srpska deputys.

Zelko Komsic is boosting his advantage in the election race for Bosnia and Herzegovina presidency member from the ranks of the Croatian people to HNS candidate BeH Borjana Cristo, while Denis Becirovic leads ahead of SDA leader Bakir Izetbegovic after counting 60 per cent of the vote.

According to data that became available to the media at SDA headquarters in Sarajevo tonight before 10: 00 p.m., after counting a little over half a million votes, it turns out that Komsic has received 118,000 votes or 67 percent, and Boryana Christo just over 50 thousand votes or 33 percent.

More than 180,000 voters, or 55 percent, voted for Denis Becirovic from the SDP and 136,000 or about 40 percent for Izetbegovic.

In the race for the Serbian member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Headship, according to data from the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), their candidate Zelka Cvianovic leads by 200 thousand votes, or 58 per cent, while Mirko Sharovic of the Serbian Democratic Party has 130 thousand votes or 38 per cent.

Although the official election results have not been announced yet, the opposition PDP's election headquarters in Banja Luka claims their candidate for Republika Srpska chairman Jelena Triviq has won 53 per cent, while Milorad Dodik 45 per cent.

SNSD, Milorad Dodik's party, claims Dodik leads 28.232 votes in Republika Srpska's presidential elections compared to Jelena Triviq (21.491) from 300 polling stations, broadcast Bosnia and Herzegovina's media. / KP
