Tahiri for Kurti: It brought nothing new into dialogue, not to move from what America said

The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo parliamentary group (PDK), Abelard Tahiri, has addressed a series of criticisms to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, concerning dialogue with Serbia. He has said the government leader has brought nothing new to the dialogue, despite promoting a new stage to begin. Tahiri asks [...]
Tahiri asks the executive to focus on mutual recognition, but important, according to him, is the seating of Kosovo in the United Nations Organisation (OKB).
“Prime Minister Kurti has been trying to promote that a new stage of dialogue is under way. It's not what happened for ten years, as he repeatedly claimed a new stage was beginning, but we really had nothing more than the continuation of the dialogue that happened earlier. You know that Kurti Government has been focused on drawing up a guide for implementing the energy deal, first. Second, the issue of identity cards that is a continuation of an earlier agreement, whether of the license plates related to reciprocity. All energy goes towards implementing agreements that have been reached earlier, there is nothing new that Prime Minister Kurti has brought to dialogue”, he has said.
According to him, this is important in empowering Kosovo's international subjectivity.
For us it is extremely important not to be moved by what was said earlier, whether at the highest levels, such as the US, or within the QUINT states, where all have asked for the agreement to include mutual recognition, or for us that is important, Kosovo membership in the United Nations Organisation (OKB). Ending the power of our international subjectivity as a state comes when we join the UN. At the end of the day, whether Serbia recognises us or doesn't recognize us is less important than our seating in the UN is important, because then we will be part of all international mechanisms, international agencies, be it Interpol, Europol, U n NESTO, and many more”, has added Tahiri.
He has also voiced criticism of the Kosovo government of lack of work, which, according to him, is being reflected directly in the legislature. He says he has no responsibility from the majority even regarding the appointment of plenary sessions.
The second <x0). The lack of work in the Government reflects directly on the Assembly”, he said.
In addition, he said the opposition, and especially The PDK will be active in the Assembly, through parliamentary debates and interspelances.
The lack of quorum has been a criticism that has accompanied the current legislature. Many 699 times have been missing Kosovo Assembly deputies during the plenary sessions in the first six months of 2022. This has made 23 plenary sessions fail in absence of quorum at the legislature's spring session. /xp
