The pipeline will allow Spain and Portugal, the two main importers of liquid natural gas (LNG), to bring their surplus supplies to France and other European countries.
The LNG is being used to replace Russian gas the Kremlin has stopped since the beginning of the Ukraine invasion.
The European Union is trying to provide as much liquid natural gas as possible in order to pass the winter without major power or gas rations.
The deal was announced Thursday by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, French President Emmanuel Macron and Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa, writes Euronews, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
