Meanwhile, the Education Union has announced to Radio Kosovo that they will wait until 1600, and if salaries are not executed by then, they will follow legal ways.
The Finance Ministry has announced that it has once again sought from budget organisations to reconfirm wage lists, taking into account the adoption of the new teaching calendar from the Ministry of Education, which envisions replacing the hours of September.
According to the announcement, if this is done and after reconfirming the lists, teachers' salaries will be processed during today.
On this issue, the deputy chairman of the Union that Education, Vjollca Shala, said they will wait today until 4: 00 p.m. for wages to be executed, and if it doesn't happen, then they will follow legal ways. “We will expect even during the day that today by 4: 00 p.m. for the Kosovo Government to make the execution of wages for all education workers”, Shala said.
“Otherwise we have applied to the Ministry of Finance and to the State Treasury Director to get answers why these payments have not yet been made. And if that doesn't happen, then we'll start following the legal ways”. Meanwhile, in terms of the school calendar published by the Ministry of Education, the Parents' Council has indicated that parents have absolutely expressed themselves against compensation for lost hours Saturdays as a result of the strike.
The council, through a statement issued today, has said Saturday classes undermine the teaching process for other days of the week. According to the council, neither parents nor children have any responsibility for lost hours, so they do not have to carry additional burdens and are deprived of extra - school life to compensate for them.
