During the conflict, Russian weapons seized and used by Ukrainian forces include tanks, howitzers and pistols. The report claims these weapons takeovers are helping retake the Donnetsk region, including the village of Lyman, which was recovered last week after the withdrawal of Kremlin forces.
The Wall Street Journal quoted the leader of a battalion, Ruslan Andrikyo, as saying that one battalion had seized 10 modern T-80 tanks and five self-impeding hockeys following the battalion's entry into the village of Izyum last month.
We have so many things we don't know what to do with them. We've started as a battalion with few tools, and now we're becoming a well-equipped battalion”, he added.
The Wall Street Journal claimed that Ukraine has seized 460 Russian tanks, 92 self-impeding hosts, 448 infantry vehicles, 195 war vehicles and 44 multi-missile launching systems, based on evidence summed up by social networks and new reports from Oryx, which is a company with open intelligence sources.
However, the report said that the exact number is probably much greater as not every seized tool is filmed./Periscopi/
We've got so many thoughts that we don't even know what to do with them. We started off as an Infantry battalon, and now we are sort of making a mechanized battalon.” My story on how Russia has become Ukraine's biggest weapons personnel. https://t.co/qqqqqTVbV Pic.twitter. com/ Z KHGmfdcX
