Renewment of the soliaries in Ulpiana, tape, and even Alice Albright is inaugurated

The chief executive of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Alice Albright, daughter of former American Secret Secretary Madeleine Albright, has participated in the inauguration of the network recommunation in the Ulpiana neighbourhood in Pristina. Albright said co-operation between the MCC and Kosovo started in 2017 with the signing of the agreement for investing 49m euros in the country.
“since 2004 The MCC, in co-operation with the 40 countries of the world, has helped them around the world to push economic growth and poverty reduction... The MCC with Kosovo has been co-operating since 2017, when we made the signing of agreements, with Kosovo we have been working jointly on supply to electricity, in the rule of law, etc. ”.
US Ambassador Jeffrey Havenier said the US will help Kosovo overcome the energy crisis.
“Sic knows the energy crisis happening in the world is happening in Kosovo as well. Of course, the US is helping Kosovo. Here we have a strong partnership, we hope that residents will have a warmer winter”.
He added that the MCC has invested by 60 per cent for the renovation of soliaries, Pristina municipality 30 per cent and residents 10 per cent.
Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli said such investments are very important at this time of energy crisis.
She added that the US remains the key factor of energy co-operation.
Pristina Chairman Progress Rama, meanwhile, said he expects similar investments to take place in other capital buildings.
The MCC has allocated 11m euros for energy savings in Kosovo.
Work on Pristina's Solems is expected to be completed in weeks.
