Following the dismissal of UP's sector, Naser Sahiti has reacted to the Democratic League of Kosovo, naming it unacceptable intervention of the state, writes Periscopi.
Through a post on the LDK official page, the opposition party has said “The Steering Council of The UP's executed the Government's political request today to install the obedient power reactor at UP”.
“Effects of influence exercise and power control in higher education seriously harm institutional quality and function.
Knowledge, scientific research and university research are vital for education development, so any political interference in this important institution is unforgivable.
The Democratic League of Kosovo estimates that respecting university autoninomy is a condition to ensure the integrity and quality of higher education”, said in response.

Intervention of power in UP is unacceptable
Under the influence of the ruling party, the University of Pristina Steering Council “Hasan Pristina dismissed today its university rector, Prof. Dr. Naser Sahiti. For the Democratic League of Kosovo, this is unacceptable policy intervention in educational institutions.
This unacceptable and harmful act for education has preceded the capture of the UP's Steering Council by the ruling party through the selection of party-climate and controversial candidates.
