Dietrich Mateschitz died today at the age of 78 after a long and serious illness.
For nearly 30 years, Red Bull's chief from Styria and his liquor company have supported every possible series of car races from Forum 1 at the World Rally Championships, World Championships NASCAR and DTM Superbike and Motocross, as well as Rally Dakar and as a reliable partner for factory teams KTM, Austrian media have reported.
In addition, Red Bull Hookies Cup was founded in 2007, along with World Championship promoter Dorna, formerterreichring was revived as Red Bull Ring in 2011, and GP Austria returned to Styria for Forum 1 and MotoGP.
