Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has said Albania was left out of Europe's aid during the COVID-19 pandemic, indicating that during the difficult period for vaccine it has managed to receive doses from Italy.
“I'm saying something today that nobody knows. I am Albanian-Italian, Di Maio napolitano-Albanian, who together we have done a smuggling operation. What Italian or Albanian are you if you're always in accordance with the law?”, Rama said.
People were afraid they'd die like water-free fish, but we couldn't get a shot. I asked Luigin could you at least give us doses for doctors and nurses? Pfizer had a very strict contract with governments: I give you vaccines, but you can't give them to anybody. Something that is all but Christian. Luigi said it would be very serious. But we did this with our secret services: two ministers who smuggled goods to each other to save people”.
Then we couldn't hide vaccines, we had to manage them. Pfizer's lawyers threatened with indictments and wanted to know how we got them, but we just said a friendly place. I said that we had learned from the Nazis that you should never give up a friend in front of the police,”, he said. /a2news. com
