Truss has thanked Kurt for the letter of congratulations sent on September 6th, as well as for the condolences following the life of her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

She has also expressed satisfaction with two meetings with Prime Minister Kurti this year, when she was Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

The United Kingdom and Kosovo are clearly on a line in many areas, and there is great potential for our two countries to work together for the nearest one, Prime Minister Truss” has written.

“The United Kingdom was proud of helping Kosovo secure its independence, and was the first country to formally recognise its independence in 2008, it later wrote”.

“will continue to convey Kosovo with great interest as you move forward with your reform process, Prime Minister Truss has stressed the conclusion of letter”.

Full letter from the United Kingdom Prime Minister, Liz Truss:

Dear Prime Minister,

Thank you for your September 6th letter and your good words for my appointment.

I would like to also thank you for your public condolences after the death of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It has been a constant and stable presence in our country's life for more than seven decades, and was extremely devoted to the task and promotion of global relations of the United Kingdom.

It was a pleasure to meet you twice this year when I was Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

The United Kingdom and Kosovo are clearly on a line in many areas, and there are great opportunities for our two countries to work together for even closer.

Thank you also for Kosovo's condemnation and quick implementation of sanctions in response to Ukraine's unprotested invasion of Russia. It is important that European partners remain united in the next few months and respond with proper steps to Russian aggression.

The UK was proud of helping Kosovo secure its independence, and was the first country to formally recognise its independence in 2008. I will continue to convey Kosovo with great interest as you press ahead with your reform process.

Prime Minister Kurti's full letter:

Dear Prime Minister,

On behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, I congratulate you on your choice at the head of the Conservative Party and Unionist and your appointment by Her Majesty, Queen, as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Our continent faces numerous challenges that require a coordinated response, and I feel relieved by the clear vision you highlighted at our two meetings earlier this year.

As we face the consequences of the Devi 19 pandemic, the energy crisis and the increased cost of living, along with the increasing authoritarianism and unprotested aggression of Russia against Ukraine, we look forward to your leadership to helping Europe and the rest of the world navigate through these difficult times. Please be sure that, as you do, you can rely on Kosovo's partnership, co-operation and solidarity.

The United Kingdom holds a special place in the hearts and minds of the people of Kosovo, because you supported us in our liberation fight against a genocide regime. We will never forget; and we are grateful to them forever.

Our government is working hard to fulfill its promises of jobs and justice for our citizens by investing in human capital, closing the skills gap through the revival of the quality of our education, and reforming the justice system.

Prime Minister, I have the honour of welcoming you to Kosovo at the first opportunity that is appropriate for you. Please accept my most heartfelt wishes and my highest consideration as you take this crucial role in these challenging times.
