Petkov is victimized before Escobar: Kosovo is denying our visits

The director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia, Petar Petkov, has been waiting at a meeting of US special envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar, quoted as saying that Serbia is willing to continue negotiations with Kosovo, but insists on implementing the agreements reached, primarily on the Association of Committees with Majority [...]
According to the statement from this office, Petkoviqi has told Escobar about yesterday's act of justice, which was taken by the Constitutional Court in Pristina in the retrial against Zvecan municipality Chairman Ivan Todosijevic, who has been sentenced to one year in prison for denying Recak's massacre.
Petkoviqi has also told Escobar in the case of 20-year-old Serbian Nikola Nedelkovic, who was arrested during the signing of the Serbian holiday “Vidovan” in Gazimestan for exposing Serbian symbols, for which he was sentenced to eight months in prison.
These biases deny Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija the right to thought, freedom of speech and expression, and thus abolish all civil and democratic freedoms”, Petkovqi said.
He stressed that Belgrade requires full respect for Article 10 of the First Brussels Agreement, which stipulates that, according to him, “Serbs should be majority in the Court of Appeals panel in the processes by Serb communities in Kosovo”, which, according to him, has been repeatedly highlighted by the international community's top representatives.
Petkovi also cited the refusal of visits by Serbian officials to Kosovo, or his visits, to what he said is a violation of the agreement, saying that with these actions “Pristina prohibits him from being with the Serbian people in the province”.
Despite everything, Belgrade remains essentially interested in preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans and appeals to use crucial political and diplomatic means to prevent all those who threaten to destabilise the region and new confrontations”, he said.
During the conversation, plates and energy were discussed, while Petkoviqi said the Serbian side has met all steps by the Energy Guide, as well as pledges from other agreements reached in the Brussels dialogue. /Kankosova
