Peci says that this issue should be resolved in full partnership with the United States of America, which are earnestly demanding postponement of the deadline, and the European Union.
“There is no smarter way”, the former Facebook diplomat wrote.
According to Peci, the issue of license plates could be jeopardised without coming to the situation when there are blockades and tensions and without jeopardising the lives of Kosovo police officers.

As a citizen, I appeal to the Government of Kosovo for extending the deadline for changing illegal car owner plates to the RKS, in view of the fact that its decision is legal and legitimate.
We have to solve this issue in full partnership with the United States and the EU, and there is no other way of doing this.
If we do otherwise, I'm convinced we'll face a situation similar to last September, but this time it'll be much more unexpected.
We don't need to risk the lives of our officers, when things can be arranged even without police measures, and that in cooperation with the West.
