The council through a statement issued on Friday has said that Saturdays' instruction undermines the teaching process for other days of the week.
According to him, many children on Saturday are engaged in various sports and cultural events or events.
“We believe that compensation of lost hours should have been delegated at the school level, since most schools in Kosovo do not have the problem of overloading students (so they work on a switch), and compensation could have been done during the week's days. School management councils would have to inform the Ministry of Education (in order of oversight) of the compensation plan (such as happened to Task Forces during the pandemic for two and a half years)”, the statement said.
According to the council, neither parents nor children have any responsibility for lost hours, so they do not have to carry additional burdens and are deprived of extra - school life to compensate for them.
It's very unfair and unacceptable that our children, after being denied the constitutional right to care, education and education, are now denied the right to rest, and on this and the right to extra-school activities” is also stated in the statement.
The strike in Kosovo's public sector is held from August 25th to October 1st, when it was proclaimed suspended by the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK).
The strike will remain suspended until January 2023.
