As “reported IGN” on Monday, users will be taxed with $20 a month, while those currently possess verification have 90 days to subscribe, otherwise they will lose status.
Meanwhile, it has given company engineers until 7 November to implement this change, or they will lose their jobs.
The platform “Twitter Blue” currently costs $4.99 per month and allows users to modify their own options, access social network features and many others.
Twitter Account Verification aims to let users know that an account of public interest is authentic.
To get the blue icon, the account must be public, active and authentic. So far there has been no fee for verification.
