Today we have made a decision to fulfill and change the 2022-23 school calendar.
This decision will change the 2022-23 school year calendar, due to 22 days of constant learning during September 2022 as a result of the teachers' strike.
Eight (8 ) days of uninhibited primary learning and classes (1-8) according to the UA-05-2022 for the 2022-2023 school year calendar will be held on Saturday, as follows:
- In October, 2022 classes are held on the 1510,2022, 22,10,2022 and 29,10,2022;
- In November, 2022 lessons are held on 1211,2022 and 26.11.22;
-In December, 2022 lessons are held on 10,12,2022 and 24.12.22;
- In January, 2023 classes are held on 1401,2023.
MA SHTI reports that the first half anniversary of all pre-university education levels will be completed by 27.01.2023. Meanwhile, winter rest for all pre-university education levels will begin on 30.01.2023 and end on 03.02,203.
The second half anniversary begins at 06,02,203. In the five planned spring break days, according to the US-05-2022, the learning process will be held at all levels of pre-university education.
The end of the second half anniversary will be like the following:
-For the 12th class, the date is 05.06.23;
-For classes 9,10 and 11 ends with 27.06.2023;
- For the beginning and 1-8 classes ends on the 30.06,2023
The pre-university education institutions that started learning before 3:10.2022 are obliged to make planning and realisation of the learning days defined by the UA-05-2022.
The pre-university education institutions, which have started learning on September 1st, continue working according to the USA-05-2022.
Teachers who started learning before the date 03.10.2022 are assigned to plan and implement class days in collaboration with the school principal so that the second half anniversary begins on 06,02,203.
Pre-university Education Institutions Must Report DAS for class days planning.
The implementation of this decision will oversee the Education Inspectorate.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation is committed to implementing the Greece Law, which in addition envisions suspending all rights and obligations from the labour contract, including pay rights for the strike's day. However, being convinced that the educational workers will respect the new school calendar decision and do the job, and given the fact that many of them have been exposed or have had uncertainty about legal provisions, we have proposed to the Ministry of Finance, Labour, and Transfers to consider the possibility of paying in advance so that the families of teachers do not remain without pay until the end of the month, even when the salaries come out for October.
