At the time when the Government of Kosovo is warning health staff return from exile, representatives of the latter are alarming mass evasion over the next year.
The QKUK Health Workers' Union has said that during this year alone over 500 nurses have left Kosovo, until it has warned that about a thousand and 500 others are expected to leave the country over the next year.
QKUK nurse Fitim Havolli has said that because of poor economic conditions, escape is being seen as the best solution.
He has indicated that due to the departure of a large number of health workers, in the near future the delivery of health services will be jeopardised.
And besides nurses, leaving Kosovo has warned a large number of doctors.
This is due to dissatisfaction with low wages and poor working conditions.
The chairman of the Kosovo Medical Oda, Plerat Sejdiu, has said that next year will be even more serious because of massive evacuations from the country.
For these warnings from health unionists, the Health Ministry has not returned answers to Kanal 10 television questions.
Year after year, large numbers of health workers release Kosovo due to better conditions -- higher wages offered at clinics and hospitals abroad.
