Kurti's new decision on license plates: From American disappointment to multiple reactions

Prime Minister Kurti has had frequent phone calls and visits from internationals, but not as usual, it was all due to the extension of the deadline for the license plates. And these international pressures seem to have done little work, since today the first government announced that it has extended the time for the license plates, why Kurti [...]
We have not postponed the implementation of the decision, scaled it, and we think this is the best solution right now. In the first week of November, we have the Berlin Process Summit, which will be held with Chancellor Scholz. But there will also be other important meetings for Kosovo's position in the European Union. We are aware that there is an aggressive, criminal campaign coming from Serbia against Kosovo Serbs, and all of this has made us think that the implementation of the decision will escalate”, the prime minister said.
Although Kurti calls this plan presented today “escalation”, that's why the United States of America is not thinking.
DASk has released a communique where they are expressed disappointed in Kurti Government not to comply with requests that have been addressed to Kurt's international partners, even desperate. American Secretary Antony Blinken also came to be with the head of state.
The United States of America, along with our international partners, urged the Kosovo government to extend the implementation period for the license decision. Kosovo has the right to implement the license regime under the Brussels Agreement, but extending the deadline is in the interest of progress in the EU facilitated dialogue for normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations. The United States is disappointed and concerned that the Government of Kosovo has refused to do so by its international partners. Kosovo and Serbia must work urgently and flexiblely to reach a comprehensive agreement on normalised relations, with mutual recognition centred” said in response.
And by the disappointment of this friendly land, has expressed concern first of LDK Lumir Abdixhiku. He said the government's arrogance towards partners' demands could produce long-term consequences.
The country's “Institutions must address with high sensitivity the recommendations and demands of our friends. Presumptuously dealing with our partners' demands hurts the country's strategic interests and can produce long-term consequences on our political journey. As the past teaches, these relationships are fundamental to gaining a better international position for our country as well as following our strategic goals.
It is extremely concerned that the United States Government is expressed disappointed and concerned by the actions of the Kosovo government”, he said.
But unlike the United States that did not welcome the Kurti Government's decision, so the two former Kosovo Foreign Affairs ministers are not thinking.
Former Foreign Affairs Minister Skender Hyseni has said the government has done well to take into account international recommendations.
However, the former minister had remarks on how Kurt gave up his decision.
What tastes bad is that she decided to give up a bad decision! , Instead of reasoning as a decision to respect and co-ordination with America and Quinti, he tried to package all of this only for the ears of his digital and popular army, losing the possibility of being a statesman and taking diplomatic advantage of the decision to postpone”, Hyseni said.
Save Former Foreign Minister Melza Haradinaj It has applauded the Government's decision, adding that in this case Serbia “has lost hands”.
The “E applauds the Government of Kosovo for its creativity shown in pushing implementation for regatta as requested by American allies.
Kosovo's political maturity and caution shown in this delicate situation left Serbia empty-handed, which invested in incidents in hopes of blowing up a more escalating tension.
Kosovo, as always, is witnessing as a factor of Balkan stability”, has written Haradinaj-Subla.
Save Astrit Gashi opinionator It has been praised as a wise move on Kurt's part, while it showed that the measure of reproof is the irrelevant “ide”.
“Yeah, Kurt's retired, but he's done smart. The crime is a stupid idea, except if they didn't think of it as a size to get their ears up!
To the extent of the reproof has been ironic PDK deputy head Vlora Citaku. She's through a post in her Facebook account to Kurt so I don't waste time on the license plate,
until asking “That's the rebuke thing if they're going to call your parents a times”.
This is the rebuke thing if they have to call your parents back. Prime Minister, don't waste time with license plates. The geopolitical context is on our side. The comprehensive agreement with mutual recognition at the centre is possible if we work wisely and with discretion”, she wrote.
Analyst and journalist Ilir Mirena through a post warned what Kurt could happen if he listened to US advice.
“America can't do that to Albin Kurt.
You see, Sali Berisha, the sénee laj. Today in blacklists, not the next moment...”, Mirena wrote.
We remember that US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar during a visit to Kosovo last week had asked Kurti and Osmani to be extended for 10 months for license plates. He even stressed that the request addressed to the heads of state was not only US, but also QUINTIT.
It's not a secret that we've requested a longer period of implementation, and we've asked for another 10 months. I'd like to see this happen. This is not just a U.S. request, but a whole QUINTIT. And that is because we are the states that we are most supportive of Kosovo. We believe it's important that when we make recommendations, people listen to them”, Escobar said. /Iliryana-Periscope
