This has been disclosed through a communique for the media by the Government of Kosovo.

The course before those present has not saved even good words for his rulership, saying that he had an opportunity to rule the law.

In this context, he mentioned several police shares.

We've dismantled 68 criminal gangs and confiscated over 1.7 tonnes of illegal drugs. As prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, I am happy to report that after only a year and a half in office, we have made great progress in these very areas. Last year, we improved by 17 countries according to Transparency International Corruption Perception Index and 17 other countries in the World Reporters Without Borders Freedom Index; and we are number one in the region in terms of rule of law under the World Justice Project. During our current mandate we have conducted about 800 police operations against economic crimes and corruption”, Kurti has said.

And despite criticism of the major economic crisis that has plagued the country, Kurti has continued with his common phrase that Kosovo has had tremendous economic growth.

The Republic of Kosovo has shown remarkable economic progress in this year and a half, even in the face of numerous global crises. Last year we closed it with economic growth of 10.7%. And this year, in the first quarter, we've had 4.9 % of BPV's growth. At the same time, we have made sure that our country's prosperity is widely divided among our entire population. Among other initiatives, we have shared subsidies for young mothers and children, as well as increased pensions by 11%, including pensions for disabled persons by 33%. And for the first time, higher public education in our country is completely free of charge. All of this shows that despite what some autocratic governments, power and superpowers in the world are desperately trying to testify, democracy and economic progress go hand in hand. In collaboration with our allies in the EU and beyond, my government continues to work every day to demonstrate this important truth”, he has said.

Full speech:

Honored members of the EU Council Committee for Civil Crisis Management Aspects in Kosovo,

Honored head of the EU Law Rule Mission in Kosovo, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark,

Honored Workman of the Czech Embassy in Pristina, Mr. Pavel Bílek,

Dear EU Ambassador, Mission Chief, Mr. Tomákh Szunyog

Dear friends, colleagues and partners,

Ladies and gentlemen,

Thank you so much for organizing this reception. I wish to welcome our guests from the CIVICOM delegation to the Republic of Kosovo.

I have been announced that the purpose of this delegation's visit is “to make an assessment of the EULEX Mission's work in Kosovo and to understand more deeply the situation of rule of law and security on the ground”.

. We've dismantled 68 criminal gangs and confiscated over 1.7 tons of illegal drugs. During our current mandate, we have conducted nearly 800 police operations against economic crimes and corruption and have arrested over 2000 people, including about 300 public or state officials.

In the continuation of Ukraine's illegal invasion by the Russian Federation this year, Russia has stepped up its efforts to destabilise the security situation in Kosovo, especially in co-operation with Serbia, its close ally in the Western Balkans. Our government has responded in line with circumstances by intensifying our co-operation with NATO, the EU, the US, Great Britain and key European allies. We have also doubled funds for the Kosovo Security Force. And we've introduced an economic package to fight subsequent inflation, as well as today we've started with measures to subsidize energy efficiency.

I know your work description uses “crisis management”. Since the crisis has become a multiple crisis, we may need to move courageously from management to solution. So the solution to the multiple crisis we face together.

The government and the people of Kosovo believe in the EU and we think the EU should have great ambitions for the Western Balkans and for itself. The EU must progress, we all have to protect the EU and the EU should expand.

We have also taken steps to increase dialogue with the Serb community, and other non-communication communities in our country, so that we can integrate them as full and equal citizens of our country. The rights of our minorities are protected and will continue to be. We say equality for all is necessary to have healthy democracies. There can be no democracy, no human rights, no equality and no pluralism. Law rule, economic opportunities and social justice will unite all citizens and communities into an inclusive society, regardless of ethnic or religious affiliation.

In addition to these successes in our internal affairs, Kosovo has also shown it is committed to contributing to international security. We enthusiastically participated in Defender Europe 2021 along with 26 other countries and wasted no time joining US and EU sanctions against the Russian Federation. We have sheltered over 1,800 refugees from Afghanistan, currently hosting 410 of them, while nine journalists from Ukraine are now residents of our capital, Pristina.

Finally, along with our advances in rule of law and security, the Republic of Kosovo has shown remarkable economic progress in this year and a half, even in the face of numerous global crises. In co-operation with our allies in the EU and beyond, my government continues to work every day to demonstrate this important truth.

Once again I wish you warm welcomes and very pleasant and productive stays in the Republic of Kosovo.
