Where do Kosovars invest?

The KSF has held the Investment Statistics Survey in companies on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Mostly, polls have been conducted in companies that have declared investment purchases in many annuals over 50 thousand Euros.

According to the results, investments in construction (building and other construction facilities) occupy the main weight of 77.25% of investments, under the total investments of companies involved in the survey. Other investments, which carry a considerable weight, are those in: machinery and equipment by 18.19%; low-weight investments are in intellectual property products 0.89%; in biological investments cultivated and agriculture greenhouses by 0.3%; and investments in vulnerable assets (not produced) by 3.35%.

According to the size of companies: 15.65% of investments have been made by micro companies (1-9 workers); 35.83% in small companies (10-49 workers); 40.98% in medium enterprises (50-249 workers); and 7.54% in large enterprises (250 and over workers).

According to the results, companies in Mitrovica region have resulted in the highest investment rate (27.25%); Pristina region (25.77%); Prizren region (25.62%); Ferizaj region (8.71%); Gjakova region (6.28%); Pec region (5.29%) and the Gjilan region (1.08%).

According to the source of investment funds, the results show that 57.38% of investment value are implemented by companies from their own funds; 22.27% from local bank loans; 11.40% from foreign creditors; 2.64 %s from local co-investors; and 1.88% from foreign co-investors. In the meantime, other sources carry a smaller load.
