KEDS continues to address the safety and health of workers at work with the highest seriousness.
After many activities throughout the week, the company has also implemented the simulation of evacuation of workers to the Prizren district in case of fire.
The chief executive chief of KED, the Dogan Alpin, and the company's top management had travelled towards Prizren to monitor closely the implementation of the simulation, which started by the implantation of a smoke in the KED district building there. Firemen immediately intervened, along with first aid, in assisting KED and Kosovo Police teams.
Following alarm activism, the evacuation of workers and the intervention of firemen and first aid was realised in a very short time, which resulted in close co-operation between police, firefighters and first aid. Dogan has shared gratitude to all institutions that assisted in implementing this simulation that could save lives in the event of an unforeseen situation.
The Actors who defeated this exercise show how the simulated event turned out.
But as soon as we accepted the information from the Kosovo Police, we arrived at the scene within a few minutes, where we found only one person on the second floor of the building who was stuck in one of its offices. We took him out and handed him over to the rescue team. Everything went okay!
Kosovo Police and emergency assistance representatives also expressed satisfaction at the speed of the intervention of relevant teams at the scene.
These activities testify to the KED's continued commitment to improving the services it offers and implementation of ISO Standards.
Besides implementing ISO standards, these activities are also legal duty based on the Law on Security and Health at work. Today's development of the simulation of a rescue action, above all, is also an indication of the safety of our workers at”, said Burim Islami, health and security manager at the Department for Quality, Security and Training at KED.
KEDS is marking the fourth consecutive year Security and Health Week, implementing various activities through the best practices in the workplace.
After the completion of this activity, Mr. Dogan, along with his monitoring team and KED representatives in the Prizren district, made the inauguration of the new exclusive building for maintenance workers and new network connections. The modern two-story building will now significantly improve the company's conditions in the country's second largest city.
