Juda Balje: Four multiethnic Group MPs to vote on Trust, four don't vote

The Kosovo government has not given its opinion on withdrawing means from the Trust, though the 30-day deadline for giving an opinion expired three days ago. Even though the deadline has already ended this bill has not yet been sent to the Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights, Gender Equality, for Missing Persons, Victims of Sex Violence and Petitions.

So said the MP once the chairman of this Commission, Duda Balje.

As soon as he arrives, Bale says they will proceed to the Assembly immediately.

And we've actually been waiting for it to come down to today, but in the Human Rights Commission, Trust hasn't come. The information I don't have, the Trust was in Headship, from Headship, headed to Government. We from the government still got nothing. If you come to the Commission we examine it immediately and proceed as soon as possible, the job is clear, the first time we've decided very quickly, and I think we'll proceed to the Assembly”, she said.

She, once again, has reiterated her stance that she continues to be in favour of withdrawing the Trust.

It shows that there are four out of their group, four against them.

It's up to deputies, that's the deputies' decision, and so with yes and no, we have the pledge to vote on it, so we discuss it in the Commission and proceed to the Assembly immediately. We as a multiethnic group have a split decision, I'm in favour of Trust, there are some deputies who are against, but we have some that are for. I don't know if they've changed their mind, but I think we're four to four, but I'm not sure, and I don't want to talk to someone else, but we're divided into the multiethnic”, Balje said.

Over the course of months, the opposition demand in Kosovo is to enable citizens to withdraw up to 30 percent of the means from the Pension Savings Fund.

The bill, which would enable it, was put to the polls in the Kosovo Assembly in June, but has been rejected by the ruling party.

Annie why the International Monetary Fund was opposed, in 2020, Kosovo citizens have been enabled to withdraw 10% of their savings from the Trust.

This is done with the Law on Economic Recovery, whose goal has been to address financial difficulties caused by COVIDD-19., writes Front Online.

At the time, nearly 200m euros of over 420 thousand contributions have been withdrawn from the Trust.
