Chairman of the United Education Union ( Niteman Jasharaj, U.S.A., said they would not prevent teachers from teaching during the weekend.
Citing the collective contract, Jasharaj has said that there is no institution in Kosovo forcing them to compensate for hours lost during the strike.
Speaking on this issue, Jasharaj says teachers are being attacked in different ways by two ministers of the Kurti Government.
We have received messages from MASTI, whether by Minister Nagavci to see what's next, but that didn't happen, and I'm saying that both Minister Nagavci and Minister Murati are entering the war with SBASAK. THE Minister Murati, in particular, does not have to stop the attacks on us and we've been waiting to sit down and talk about what we were going to do the following, Jasharaj said.
We're not saying that us and other educational workers have reformed that the contracts don't force them to hold Saturday classes, because the contract says they shouldn't be replaced, while seeing that there were schools that were being taught, the SBASK is continuing to respect their voice. If our colleagues go to class, we're not against and we don't give any additional statements, because I'm saying 70 percent of them respected the contract and didn't get to work, and the other percentage was in school, and we thought that they expressed their will and re-appreciated the new” calendar.
“This Saturday whatever happens, we are willing to be close to membership by respecting their will, but if they seek advice to seek what belongs to you for weekends and holidays, we will do this and I am sure we will win the courses at the” Court, he told EO.
