He made these statements for Serbian television, Nova S, while underlining that the Kosovo case, when NATO made humanitarian intervention 23 years ago, is different.
“We believe that the situation in Kosovo, which was clarified 23 years ago, is in no way similar to armed aggression and Russia's land invasion, the attacks aimed at civilian residence buildings, we do not see an analogy between the target”, Hill said.
“I think he [Putin] is not worried at all about Kosovo, he is just trying to legitimise somehow what he did to his neighbours”, the American ambassador to Serbia stated.
Unlike Hill, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has implied that Russia has territorial claims on Kosovo and is exploiting Serbia as a satellite for tension of the situation.
In addition, he was declared Serbia's energy dependence on Russia.
America and Serbia have many topics to talk about these days, so we have talked about different things. It was discussed on energy, it is important to deal with the energy crisis that has engulfed the entire world. Among other things, Ukraine. We may disagree on everything, but we are ready to speak”, he added.
