On Wednesday, the 102nd Kosovo Government Meeting has been passed draft national strategy for management of stray dogs with or without owners for the 2022-2028 period.
Thus has Minister of Management of Local Power Elbert Krasniqi announced at a news conference following the government's meeting.
Krasniqi has said this decision has been made because the welfare situation of animals with or without owners is not good and that there should be a stable system to manage dynamics.
“The strategy stipulates immediate measures and actions that municipalities and relevant institutions must take for a long-term period of 22-28”, Krasniqi has said.
Meanwhile, for the draft concept of local elections that have also been adopted at this meeting, he has said that the Ad-hoc Commission for Election Reform has already been established and that it has been the strategy for the contents of this document.
This draft has to do with selecting mayor, run-off, certificate of political subjects, criteria to select candidate”.
