Disappointing on U.S. and EU reactions to Kurt's inconsistencies in plates

America disappointed!

DAS has issued a communiqué where they expressed disappointment with Kurti Government for failing to comply with the demands they have addressed international partners to Kurti.

The United States of America, along with our international partners, urged the Kosovo government to extend the implementation period for the license decision. Kosovo has the right to implement the license regime under the Brussels Agreement, but extending the deadline is in the interest of progress in the EU facilitated dialogue for normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations. The United States is disappointed and concerned that the Government of Kosovo has refused to do so by its international partners. Kosovo and Serbia must work urgently and flexiblely to reach a comprehensive agreement on normalised relations, with mutual recognition centred” said in response.

The European Union disappointed!

European Union has come up with a media communiqué about Kurti Government's recent decision.  “The EU has taken into account the Kosovo government's latest decision regarding the plates. Kosovo has the right to gradually remove KM signs, but the process must be carried out in the agreed-on way in the dialogue and implement in a comprehensive and consultative manner”, said the EU communiqué.

The point, notes, is that the decision is a step in the right direction, but is not in line with the Dialogue Agreements.

Likewise, like the United States of America, the EU has expressed disappointment that their demand has been ignored.

“While the decision is a step in the right direction, it is not in line with the Dialogue Agreements, which are binding on both sides. The corresponding 2016 agreement envisioned a clearly listed and defined process with a 12-month deadline for the evacuation process, which has not been followed. Kosovo should allow a longer period of transition. This has been the ongoing advice of Kosovo's closest partners, including the EU and the US. In the end, the EU has called on all sides to refrain and speculate actions that could endanger security in the country's north.
