The death of British veteran left with trauma after Kosovo service

British authorities will begin investigations into the circumstances of death that a veteran soldier suffering from terrible memories of the war in Kosovo, and who was found dead in a forest three months after losing his support for treatment of post-traumatic disorder (PTSD). [...]

Alan Force, who died in May of 2020, joined the army at the age of 16, in the ministry first in Northern Ireland and then in Kosovo, in 1999.

He served five months and then returned home for rest and recovery and had to be dealt with by the mental consequences of the war - torn experience.

Forcer was described as medically ill-able to return to complete the second part of his ministry, and he later joined the cavalry until his release in 2000.

In 2017, he contacted the organisation "Combat Streams” to seek help with his mental health and was diagnosed with PTSD, writes the Daily Mail, broadcast Clancosova.tv.

Then he referred to the NHS Mental Health Service in 2019 via T ILS (Transition, Intervention and Interconnection service) following a deterioration of its mental health, but reference was rejected after it was being taken care of and treatment organisation “Combat Streams”.

But in February 2020, this organisation announced that they could no longer support the cause of budget and service change.

He referred again to the T ILS, but an assessment came to the conclusion that he needed neither support for managing his anger nor for the PTSD.

In March 2020, the entire country entered quarantine because of the beginning of the pandemic with Covid-19 and closed its master's centers where it could manage the posttraumatic situation.

Force, on May 20th the same year, did not return home after going fishing and reported missing to Cleveland police from his former wife, Claire Lilly. The next day he was found hanging in the woods.

The investigation into the death of veteran Forcer will consider his departure from “services NHS Veterans Service references”

Gemma Vine, a specialised investigation attorney, said Alan's family wants his investigation to raise awareness of a range of issues, including the availability of access to mental health support for armed forces veterans who suffer trauma during the service.

“We want to ensure that different factors that play a role when a veteran takes his life, is fully taken into account and that this information is introduced into the government study. Without this information, there will not be sufficient evidence to identify trends and needs to help prevent future deaths,” was quoted as Vine.
