The incident occurred Thursday evening at a supermarket in a shopping mall in southern Milan, when police say an armed man stabbed a number of people. Local media report that the man stole the knife from the pre-attack supermarket, writes Euronews, broadcasts Clankosova.tv.
A supermarket worker has passed away on his way to the hospital, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.
One of the other people injured was Spanish football player Pablo Marie, who is currently borrowed in Monza, Italian A, from Arsenal of England.
Police have arrested as suspects in the 46-year-old Italian attack.
The motive is not known right now, but Italian authorities said there were no elements suggesting terrorism.
