The investigation has documented the illegal activity of police officers at the Local Directorate for Borders and Migration, Kukes, during the time of the service at Border Cross point Morina.
Illegal acts consisted of numerous corruptions committed in the ongoing exercise of duty by these employees, forcing Albanian and foreign citizens to pay various sums of money for the transition from Albania to Kosovo and vice versa.
In the investigation, 312 cases of corrupt actions by police officers, who favoured people for the introduction of smuggled goods, persons who trafficked vehicles, other illegal items, were documented.
They also helped cross the border with various persons with legal problems for their entry and entry into EU countries, as far as illegal records of entry and exit on Albanian territory, as well as other persons who had problems with the law were not registered in the T system.
