World Championship chief “Catari 2022”, Nasser Al Khater, has declared there will be special areas in the tournament for drunk football fans.
The use of alcohol during the World continues to be a controversial subject.
Sale of alcohol in Qatar will be moved from hotel bars to fan areas and outside stadiums.
Qatar is a predominantly Muslim country where public drinking of alcohol is limited and is now determined to be controlled in a way of public drunkenness, viewed as an alternative before there is a need for someone to be arrested.
There are plans for people to clear up if they've had too much to drink. It's a place to make sure they keep themselves safe and that they're not harmful to anybody else”, he told “Sky News” Al Khater, who is chief executive of the World Organization Committee.
It has been reported that fans who end up in a so-called “country to clear up” will stay there until they are able to be released.
We remember that the World Championship “Catar 2022” will take place on November 20th, December 18th.
