Few new businesses in Kosovo last months increase automechanics

The Kosovo Statistics Agency has published the Statistical Reference on Economic Enterprises in Kosovo for the third quarter (TM3) 2022, Periscope reports.

In the third quarter of the year TM3 2022 (corporal-September) have registered 272 companies, where compared to the preliminary quarter (TM2 2022) there is a decline of 4.0% of registered companies.

As compared to the same quarter of the preliminary year (TM3 2021), where the pandemic was present, there is an increase for 9.8% of registered companies.

The favorite economic activities in this quarter are: Major and retail trade, motor vehicle repair, motorcycles with 543 registered companies (19.9%); Production with 345 registered companies (12.7%); Construction with 306 registered companies (11.2%); Professional, scientific and technical activities with 281 companies registered (10.3%); The accommodation and food services activities of 276 registered companies (10.1%), etc.

Meanwhile, according to the category of employees in companies registered in this quarter, it turns out that with 1 to 4 employed are a total of 2 650 registered companies (97.4%); with 5 to 9 employed are 60 sosh (2.2%); with 10 to 19 employees registered (0.4%); with 20 to 249 employed were 2 registered companies (01%); while in the category of 250 and more employed there are no companies registered in this quarter.

As for the geographical alignment of registered companies at the level of municipalities, as in every quarter, the municipality of Pristina prevails with 824 registered companies 30.3%); Prizren with 223 registered companies (8.2%); Ferizaj with 217 registered companies (8.0%); Gjilan with 148 registered companies (5.4%); Peja with 130 registered companies (4.8%); and Gjakova with 126 companies registered (4.6%). Meanwhile, other municipalities have smaller numbers of companies registered in this quarter. /Periscopi/
