“From Tuesday [November 1st] to November 21st, citizens who have illegal plates will receive warning, then police will have to write fines, according to the law. As far as I know the fines will be 150 euros and citizens will receive instructions on how to change illegal plates. This will last until January 21st, when the temporary license plates” will be provided, Bislim said, speaking through video connection at the Belgrade Security Conference, writes Kurir.rs.
Bislimi participated virtually at this conference, where it was meant to take part physically but was forced to turn back a few kilometers in the vicinity of Belgrade after Serbian authorities offered him no security.
The government, at yesterday's meeting, approved Prime Minister Albin Kurti's proposal for the escalation of sanctions for all those who do not convert illegal Serbian plates to those in the Republic of Kosovo.
The measure of reproof will be worth from November 1st to November 21st. Between 21 November and 21 January, the penalty measure will be in force, and from January 21st to April 21st, there will be test plates.
Kurti said after April 21st there could be no other license plates in Kosovo, except those RKS.
